Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a yoga mat or large towel on which to lie down. We will not start until everyone has arrived, so please plan ahead and be punctual.
TRE® consists of six simple exercises designed to evoke muscle vibrations that generally feel pleasant and soothing. Many people report feelings of peace and well-being after experiencing TRE®. As a self-administered healing modality, it is extremely easy to learn, and appropriate for all ages and levels of fitness.
The exercises safely activate a natural reflex mechanism of shaking or vibrating that releases muscular tension, calming down the nervous system. When this muscular shaking / vibrating mechanism is activated in a safe and controlled environment, the body is encouraged to return back to a state of balance.
One of the most appealing aspects of TRE® is that it allows you to discharge tension from the body without having to “revisit the story” (i.e., talking about the source of stress or trauma). As such, it is a method popular among military personnel, even those suffering from PTSD.
In this 90-minute session, Liana Romulo will begin with a talk about stress and how it affects the body; then she’ll guide you through the exercises and support you in your process.
