Pranayama for Yoga Practitioners

For those who missed the last Level 2 workshop, I’m offering once again this two-part course in exploring the internal breath. Here we will cover the gross anatomy of respiration, pranayama preparatory techniques, and a few traditional breathing practices. Fee: P2,500.

This course is based mainly on what I've learned from pranayama master O.P. Tiwari, director of the Kaivalyadham Yoga Institute in India. Richard Freeman's guidance in pranayama has also been invaluable to me.

This workshop is suitable for those with a consistent yoga asana (or meditation) practice. Non-practitioners might find Level 1 (dates to come) more suitable.

Wednesday, August 9, 3:00pm to 4:45pm

If the above time slot is not convenient, I will teach the same class again on
Saturday, August 12, 9:00am to 10:45am

Wednesday, August 16, 3:00pm to 4:45pm

Alternatively, you can come on
Saturday, August 19, 9:00am to 10:45am

Those who have already taken this course might want to come in and do it again for a nominal “refresher” fee of P500 / session.

Liana Romulo has immersed herself in pranayama study and practice for nearly 12 years, and has received teaching certification (in addition to more than 800 hours’ training) from O.P. Tiwari at Kaivalyadham Yoga Institute. She is grateful to Richard Freeman, with whom she studies Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga, for additional teachings on the subtleties of pranayama, and to Paul Dallaghan for his continued guidance.
